Fans around the Twilight World are excited and anxious at delving deeper into Catherine Hardwicke's mind on and when she made the movie...

"With this book, I tried to show fans and aspiring filmmakers some of the process that the crew and I went through filming Twilight," said Hardwicke, who started as a production designer for films like Tank Girl, Three Kings, and Vanilla Sky before making her directorial debut with 2003's Thirteen. "My challenge was to translate Stephenie [Meyer]'s powerful book and make you feel what she makes you feel when you read her words." ext. EW

The book should contain the director's very thoughts, little hints and dittos, on the set. It's designed to re-create her own personal notebook that she kept throughout her time on set. The book is also set to feature little notes on all the actors and actresses, a big plus for every fan out there. You've seen the eccentric director in short trailers and clips, but the notebook should offer her specific views on just about everything dealing with Twilight. She's not set to direct New Moon, but for her time working with Twilight, she made a very memorable impact. Whether your views were harsh or positive on the movie, you can now see why she made the movie the way she did. You can see her thoughts on each scene, all the while reading little tidbits on directing Twilight. There are also exclusive behind the scenes shots and pictures on set. On a personal note, I loved it when Robert Pattinson (Edward) bounced the apple that Kristen (Bella) dropped during lunch. It was very amusing to see that little scene emphasize him being a vampire; it'd be kind of cool to see what she thought of filming it and maybe see some still pictures of that moment.

Twilight: Director's Notebook will go on sale on March 17, 2009.

You can now pre-order this book.
